Spring has sprung on Ct's shoreline. Now is the time to start caring for your lawn, for what gets done now will directly impact your property for the rest of the year! I recommend that a clean up be done soon, removing all the debris from our many wind storms is necessary. Any leaves, sticks, acorns and nutshells will leave dead spots if not removed. Most of my customers will be treated with 2 crabgrass control treatments, the first usually starts in late March and April. This first treatment will also quickly green up your lawn and begin the growing season. Also now is the time to spray your ornamental shrubs with a dormant oil spray to coat the insect eggs and prevent them from hatching.
